All of the power plants of Dost Enerji have the ‘Gold Standard’ certification, which is the most prestigious cerfication among the standards that rate energy projects traded in the carbon market.

Gold Standard is a non-profit organization supported by 60 Civil Society Organizations based in Switzerland. It provides a guide for the provision of high-quality emission reduction projects in voluntary markets, taking into account climate change and sustainable development. The project must have clear contributions to sustainable development (local and global environment, social and technological development). A sustainability matrix is used to track these contributions. Projects that meet the criteria in this guide are awarded VER (Voluntary Emission Reduction) credits calculated with specific coefficients.

The annual CO2 emission reductions of Dost Enerji wind power plants are as follows:

  • Yuntdağ WPP:                  115.000 tons
  • Bergres WPP:                   125.000 tons
  • Kores Kocadağ WPP:        45.000 tons
  • Geres WPP:                        70.000 tons
  • Işıklar WPP:                       95.000  tons        ( starting 2025)
